Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how StartBhargava (OPC) Private Limited ("we", "us", "Tablo") collects, uses, stores, and shares the personal information of guests, restaurant partners, and other users of the Tablo platform (mobile site, web app, and partner dashboards).

1. Information we collect

  • Account data — name, phone number, email, organisation (optional), role (booker / restaurant partner / admin).
  • Booking data — group size, date/time, budget, dietary preferences (allergens, spice tolerance, veg preference, drink preferences), notes, restaurant choices.
  • Payment metadata — deposit amount, transaction reference, status. Card / UPI details are processed by our payment partner and are not stored on Tablo servers.
  • Device data — IP address, browser/OS, session identifiers (used for security and analytics).
  • Communications — WhatsApp / email / SMS messages we send (booking confirmations, reconfirmation calls, support).

2. How we use your information

  • To process and confirm your booking with the restaurant partner.
  • To curate menus based on your dietary preferences and budget.
  • To call you 1–2 hours before your slot for reconfirmation (handled by the Tablo Ops team — your phone number is not shared with the restaurant).
  • To send transactional notifications (booking confirmed, deposit paid, reconfirmation reminders).
  • To improve product quality and prevent fraud.

3. What we share with restaurants

Restaurant partners only see: your first name + last initial, organisation name (if any), group size, date/time, dietary briefing (allergens, spice level, veg preference), and notes. We intentionally do not share your phone number or email with the partner — all reconfirmation calls are made by Tablo Ops.

4. Third-party processors

We use Razorpay (payments), WhatsApp Business API / Gupshup (messaging), email service providers (transactional email), MongoDB Atlas (hosting), and Google Cloud (infrastructure). Each is contractually bound to the same level of data protection. We do not sell your data to advertisers.

5. Data retention

Booking, invoice, and tax records are retained for at least 8 years as required under Indian GST and Companies Act regulations. Account data is retained until you ask us to delete it (see Section 7).

6. Cookies & analytics

We use a small number of first-party cookies for session management. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

7. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correction of inaccuracies, or deletion of your account (subject to legal retention obligations) by emailing support@mytablo.app. We respond within 30 days.

8. Children

Tablo is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Security

We use TLS in transit and encryption at rest. Phone OTPs and tokens are short-lived. Despite our best efforts, no system is 100% secure — if you suspect a breach of your account, email us immediately.

10. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with a refreshed "Last updated" date.

11. Grievance officer

For privacy complaints, write to our Grievance Officer at support@mytablo.app. As per the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, we respond within 30 days.
